One night of Spanish music passion
With two special guests, the Belgian Anneleen Lenaerts, harp soloist and leader of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Greek conductor Zoi Tsokanou, the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra opened this year's series of concerts at the Athens Concert Hall.
On Monday 12 December, the renowned conductor presented three popular compositions inspired by the musical tradition of Spain, together with the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra : Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov's Spanish Caprice, Op. 34, Joaquín Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez (adapted for harp and orchestra by the composer) and Carmen Suites no. 1 and 2 by Georges Bizet
